SOUJOUD HAMADE - Advisory Board

Soujoud C. Hamade is a first-generation Lebanese American attorney, entrepreneur, and community advocate who serves as the President of the Michigan Chapter of the National Arab American Bar Association (“NAABA-MI”). Her and her partner founded HNH Law Group and operate their practice on the top floor of one of the commercial real estate properties Ms. Hamade recently acquired through her investment company, Hamade Capital Investments. Ms. Hamade began her legal career as an associate member of the Government Policy Practice Group at Dykema Gossett, a leading national law firm. She later accepted a position as the Director of Safety and Compliance at Glorious Cannabis, one of the largest and most sophisticated cultivation facilities in the state of Michigan. During Ms. Hamade’s spare time, she has served on the board of multiple organizations, including The Arc of Northwest Wayne County, the Iraqi American Foundation, and NAABA-MI.

Since helping establish NAABA-MI, the nonprofit has grown from four members to over one hundred and fifty members. In under two years, NAABA-MI has hosted multiple successful networking events, launched a mentorship and internship program, facilitated the hire of multiple employment positions, hosted a dozen of panels at law schools across the state of Michigan, and helped the State Attorney General’s Office host an expungement fair and a driver’s license restoration drive.

Ms. Hamade earned her Juris Doctor degree and her Bachelor of Philosophy from Michigan State University, where she received many honors and awards for her academic achievements, including the Distinguished Law Student Trailblazer Award, Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Negotiation, Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Advocacy, and the Best Oralist Award. During her three years as a law student, Ms. Hamade was heavily involved in political and government work. She served as a policy fellow for the Gretchen Whitmer Gubernatorial Campaign, a legislative assistant for former State Senator David Knezek, and a congressional intern for Congresswomen Debbie Dingell.
